Boost Your Fertility and Move Energy

In the last newsletter we talked about one aspect of the mind-body connection to fertility. This concerned how our thoughts control our stress response and how our body chemistry responds to what we think. If you missed it check it out here.

This week I want to give you a tool that will help you to calm the mind, move energy and boost your fertility quotient. I would like to introduce you to a qi gong meditation exercise that can focus your mind in a positive way, help you move energy like I do when I give acupuncture treatments and introduce you to the power of color light meditation.

It is a simple, but powerful meditation. You can sit in a chair with both feet on the floor or lie down. Sitting is probably best so you don’t fall asleep.:)

We are going to work with the second chakra also called the lower dantian in Chinese Medicine. This energy center (the second chakra) is just below your navel. This is a powerful energy point that we often focus on when doing qi gong. Meditating on this point helps to ground you, increases your creative energy and helps to heal the pelvic region. All of these are crucial in helping to boost your fertility and create a new life.

To begin, close your eyes and place your left hand on the second chakra.  Then place your right hand on top of your left. Gently take three deep cleansing breaths allowing your body to relax as you do this. Breathe all the way down to where your hands are so that you feel them slowly rise and fall with each inward and outward breath.

Next visualize a beautiful glowing pink colored cloud of light in your minds eye. Next, keeping your hands on your belly,  breathe in that pink cloud of light. See it move all the way down to your second chakra area. When it reaches this point visually move it in a clockwise direction around your pelvic region.  The motion will be up on the right side, down on the left side. Feel this light gently moving the energy of your whole pelvic region in this direction. Feel it removing and dissolving any energetic blockages that you may sense. If you don’t sense anything don’t worry, just keep visually moving the pink light.

Repeat this pink breath 2-6 more times. When you are finished gently move your hands in a clockwise direction several times and you are done. Slowly allow your consciousness to return to the room in which you are sitting and open your eyes.

Repeat this meditation daily and see if you begin to notice that you are more grounded, have more energy, feel calmer, and feel more open in your pelvic area.
